I can enter flow hydrograph at the end of the river ?

Dear all,
I am new of the forum, i have an issue when i insert flow hydrograph.
I have a river that works initially by gravity, but I want that in case of flood is lowered the gate at the end of the river and the water is pumped from the beginning of the river.
I can enter the flow hydrograph as boundary conditions at the end of the river although the direction is reversed ?
I hope I was clear.

Yes, you can enter a flow hydrograph with negative numbers to remove flow from the river.
