Hi! I have a pumping station in my river section, which pumps water to mining processes. I’m not modeling any of the water storage areas of the mine, so how can I model the water intake of the pump without any outlet?

    Katariina,

if you are not interested on the outlet you can create a dummy reach or better dummy SA with very large volume.

Thank you, and how is dummy reach created?

    Katariina,

as dummy reach (or Storage Area) I mean a fictitious reach that doesn’t exist in the system you want schemayize.

You can create a normal reach, define it with simply rectangular cross sections, define flow upstream and water level downstream, than link the output of your pumping station to this reach.

In this way your pumping station works and it doesn’t matter what happen in the dummy reach.
