Hi fellow RAS modelers,
I am modelling a morning glory spillway inside a 2D area. The morning glory is in the middle of a lake. Under high flows, excess water spills over the land and road 200 feet to the channel downstream. I tried modelling it as an internal structure but it seems to pool adjacent to the connection due to the topography. This water is still incorrectly in the pool so it ends up acting like overland flow. I then tried breaking the larger 2D area into 3 smaller ones, namely lake, overland flow, and downstream channel, in hopes to be able to route the morning glory water from lake to channel and connect the rest as overland flow but am having issues related to needing to input weirs (which do not exist in my case).
Is there a way to match the weir data to my topography or maybe a different workaround you’ve used or seen to route culvert flow to a specific location?
Many thanks!
