HELP error hec ras

Hi everybody
I’m trying to do an Unsteady Flow analysis in Hec-Ras 5.0 (August 2015 version) and I don’t understand why I have this error.

+STOP! Error in the time window.
HDF_ERROR trying to close HDF output file:

I’ve inserted a simple rectangular geometry and meshed it; with an initially condition added with a SA/2D Area BC Lines (the condition is the stage in fuction with the time).
Help me please

The very first line of this error message states that there is an error with the time window. Often this error is a results of an improper date format being used. You may also want to make sure that you’re using “US English” regional settings on your PC. Please review page 8-25 of the User’s Manual for discussion of appropriate date formats.

Change date and time setings in control panel to US calendar.

I have the same problem. I change the date and time to UTC
I restart my computer. I enter again the unsteady flow data but i receive the same message again

Do you have any idea of what is going wrong?

Yes. The problem is that you are none a US citizen. So, go to your control panel and change the : Region and Language to : English US.
Mine was Greek and i had the same problem.

Hi,

I dont understand what the number on the right hand side mean? (3, 4, 2 ??)

Also how could i fix this? Would decreasing the mesh size or the time step help?
