Hec Ras won’t run

I’m asking HEC RAS to perform a run and it simply says “Hec RAS cannot compute the steady flow calculations.” This is a pretty unhelpful message as it doesn’t give me any indication what is wrong with my model. Has anyone come across this error and know what generally causes HEC RAS to immediately spit the dummy in this way?

My error message says, more precisely “error executing the steady flow calculations”.
