Hi,
I have modelled a proposed pipe arch culvert in HECRAS. As custom conduits are not allowed ( is there a way?) I have had to select an option from the available geometries. I have selected a pipe arch of 2.09 m rise and it has been interpolated as having a span of 2.57. This is from Chart #35 – i am in the UK and don’t use the charts referred to in Hec Ras.
The problem is that I now cannot reselect this culvert size as it doesn’t seem to be valid span/rise combination. When i reset the chart the 2.09 rise culvert from chart 35 has a span of 3.21m. The culvert is drawn as 2.566×2.09 if i don’t change anything so i assume that it was modelled at this dimension.
Does anyone know what has happened ? Am I missing something obvious ?
