HEC-RAS controller for RAS mapper

Hey,

I am new to the HEC-RAS controller (I have ordered and waiting to receive the HEC-RAS controller book to learn more). I would appreciate if someone could answer this general question:

Is the HEC-RAS controller capable of automating the RAS Mapper features for 2D simulations, such as: importing the watershed shapefile as the 2D flow area, generating the mesh, selecting the location of the downstream boundary condition at the basin outlet?

Or the HEC-RAS controller is only dedicated to automate setting the input data and runnning several plans? So setting the case study area and its boundary condition is always done manually?

Hi sam1,

As far as I know, you can’t use HEC-RAS Controller to automate RAS Mapper Features.
