HEC-RAS 2D Weir

Hi there. I have an issue when modelling weir. I entered line as SA/2D connection, set it as weir with width 6 m and in geometry editor I put there some gated openings. Everything runs fine, but when I view results in RAS Mapper, the water seems to ignore width of my weir and flows under/along that weir (not through), which functions only in its axis. Same thing happens in gates, the water ignores the fact, that gate is 6 meters long and acts like the opening is only in the axis of connection. I can see this especialy when I turn on the particle tracing. Now I think I don’t have good results. Does enybody know what might be my problem here?

It is difficult to know what is happening with the weir in your model without comparing it to the connected grid cells and terrain elevations. But easy to caution not to read too much into the particle tracing. That is only a graphic effect, and it is imperfect.
