I am using the October release of HEC-RAS 5.0beta.
I have a 2d model built of a 2000′ channel reach contained within a narrow (600′ wide) valley. The entire reach is modeled in 2d for existing and design conditions; 2 separate geometries.
What tools are available in the current release for comparing existing and design results, like those available for 1d geometries? Does HEC have any tools planned to compare results in the future releases?

You can also select each element in mapper and get results. Another option would be to use the result data in the hdf file, but it can be confusing if you have not dealt with that format before.

If your downstream is set up with normal depth boundary you should be able to compare the hydrographs and if grid set up properly with cells aligned like you would have XS the cell WSE along the boundary should all be very similar so you can select one cell in rasmapper to view the time series.
