Hacr Ras 2D, basic question. Hydraulic table.

I have another basic Her-Ras question. In the ras mapper, in Geometry->2D flow Area, if right click, there is the command Compute 2D flow areas Hydraulic Table. I never use it, and now I am wondering if this is something that the software do automatically, or if the user must do every time…

As far s I know, software does this automatically every time after you press run. If you don’t do this before hand, the run just takes a bit longer.

yes done automatically but you can preprocess ahead of time using this feature

The only time you would use it manually is if you have a SA/2D connection say for a culvert and you wanted to set the weir to the existing ground levels using the new automatic feature. You need to compute the hydraulic table before you can use this feature to match the weir levels with the ground levels.
