First, thank you for looking at this!

I have a HEC-RAS model for a river reach and the geometry is purely schematic (in river distance). As more and more boundary conditions will be added into the model, I want to geo-reference the model into UTM coordinate, so I can set the boundary conditions exactly where they are.

I look at the user manual (RAS 5.0.3) and it seems there are multiple tools for using GIS data, such as RAS Mapper, HEC-geoRAS, but I do not know which is the easiest way to convert the model geometry to be UTM-based. Should I start with RAS Mapper, HEC-geoRAS, or I can just edit the geometry in the geometry editor directly? What if the UTM coordinates of the river center line and the cross sections is available?

If you can give any suggestion or point me to the section in the user manual, that is much appreciated!

If you have the coordinates available in xy data then you just set it in the geometric data editor for each one. You could also import in the line work using GeoRAS.
