I have been cutting cross sections in RAS Mapper, but the geometry file is not updating in the Geometry Editor. I have checked the Attributes Table for the cross sections layer, and the cross sections I cut from the terrain are present with reach lengths, bank stations, etc. Is this a HEC-RAS bug or is there something I am missing.
Here are a few things to check, first make sure you have saved a geometry file even if it is blank, then exit the geometry data editor and within RAS Mapper associate that geometry with the appropriate terrain. Remember RAS Mapper functionality is continuously improving but the old method of creating a new geometry file within the geometry data editor and THEN using RAS Mapper to generate cross sections is always the most sure proof method.
I am also having this issue right now. I am changing the size of my cross sections in RASMapper, saving everything, then exiting RASMapper. After opening up geometry editor, the cross sections have not changed at all. I reset HEC-RAS and still the cross sections are not updating. The only thing I can think of is either manually entering in all the values, or starting over with better cross section design initially in RASMapper.
