    Dear all,

I am doing a geo-referencing. Original model was built in 1993. Using HEC RAS 5.0, I follow the manual and make a stream in ArcGIS (through HEC-GeoRAS). Importing it into HEC-RAS and cross sections show up along the river, but not at the location as indicated in a basemap (i.e., Google map). I then use “Move cut line upstream/downstream” to the cut line a bit. After this operation, I check the cross section data. Ironically, LOB, Channel, ROB value for this cross section do not change, though I have moved it a bit upstream, about 200 meter.

Is this right or downstream reach lengths are supposed to be updated when I move the cross section cut line?

how can you actually move the cross section upstream or downstream?

Left click a cross section, then a window pops up with several options. One of them is “Move Cut Line upstream/downstream”. Then you can move this selected cross section.
