I have run my HECRAS model with 2D geometry. I could not find the stream flow values (CFS) near buildings, culverts and bridges. The RAS Mapper output result options include velocities, depths, WSE, but no maximum flows. Culverts and bridges are modeled as SA/2D area connections.

Any suggestions to show “flow values” within the 2D area?

You can use a internal storage area connector to be able to read flow across it. Other than this there isn’t the ability to display flows in the 2D.

Chris has a post that explains this.

Okay, that makes sense now with the link. could not find it in my blog search. thank you for explaining.

I am new to posting comments. I had gone to the thread you recommended. very helpful. I tried to add a comment there, but not sure if it will be read.

    my post was…….
I have added a few SA/SD locations within my 2D geometry, as instructed above. After I save geometry, and compute. the program freezes during Geoemtry Processing. There error in red says “review your data at this location (ie the SA/SD location) for completeness and consistency”.

It looks like an error with the 34895 lateral and not your internal connector. When you added the internal it probably revised the mesh around your lateral?
