I have a model which splits in 2 downstream channels (one channel has a lateral weir)
and the 2 channels converge to a downstream channel. When I run 100 year flow, I get “Flow Optimization Failed to Converge” message. Also the downstream confluence channel has a very low flow. I am enclosing file.
Richard. Try a different initial flow distribution for each channel. Usually when that happens, I’ll look at the results of the optimization iterations and see if RAS is trending towards a distribution. If so, I use that for my initial flows.
Can I view the results of each iteration to check for convergence or are you saying to run the model several times and look at the overall output for convergence/divergence? If I can check each iteration, how do I access those results?
