    Hello,

I’ve tried both the HECRAS 5.03 and HECRAS 5.00 version of the controller. The events seem to be slightly different from what is in the book:

    ComputeProgressEvent
    ComputeMessageEvent
    ComputeComplete

I am running this from C# and when I call Compute_CurrentPlan, it all runs through fine, but the ComputeProgressEvent and ComputeComplete events are never fired. Strangely ComputMessageEvent is fired, but only a few times, with only these messages (for example):

Simulation started at: 21Sep2017 11:13:49 AM
    Using 64 Bit Computation Engines
    PROCESS:RasGeomWriter

Has anyone experienced the same? Any ideas what’s going on?

    Thanks,

    Rob H

    Hi Rob,

Did you ever figure out this problem? I’m currently having the same issues — I can run any of the functions but can’t seem to get any of the events fired. Specifically, I’m trying to get the ComputeMessageEvent to fire from Matlab.

    Hi Katy,

I’m afraid not, have you tried it with a newer version, e.g. 5.07? I’ll give that a go when I get chance.

    Hi Rob,

I haven’t tried it with a newer version. I will admit that my geometry gives me issues when I try to pull it into 5.07 and works fine in 5.03, so I’ve been hesitant to switch versions.

    Katy
