    Hi,

    I am solving the estimation of breach parameters (earth dams with concrete face slab) using empirical equations and physically.based model.

    But I have a large differencie between emiprical equations results and physically-based model result, for example:
    Empirical quations:
    – Breach bottom width: circa 30 m
    – Breach failure time: 0,5 – 1,0 hrs

    BREACH (Fred):
    – Breach bottom width: 4,8 m
    – Breach failure time: 15,73 hrs

    Can you tell me, where is the the problem?
