Error in adding interpolated section, keeps adding distance between sections

Dear HEC-RAS Help forum,

I’ve come across a problem in adding and deleting cross sections through the XS Interpolation Tool in Geometric Data section.

Till yesterday I had no problem adding and deleting sections, however today, every time I try to add interpolated sections through the tool XS Interpolation, wether it’s through “Within a Reach” option or the “Between 2 XS’s”, HEC-RAS prompts windows message, “Error in adding interpolated sections” It creates some of the sections at the correct distances, however, it maintains the values of the distances in the original sections, creating a larger reach (in distance) than it was before, and also, refuses to create any more than 1 section between 2 XS’s.

Well,

I’ve just fixed it, for anyone who cares or could be useful to, problem lied in the Htab Param in “Geometric Data” Section right above View Picture. Values in the Htab Param were 300 points and increments of the order of 1 mm. I guess this provokes an error when trying to interpolate sections, since using 200 points and a larger increment, allows me to create the interpolated sections without problems, that is to say, when precision is too high in Htab Param, Interpolation is not possible.

I’m guessing this counts as a bug, where can I report this to HEC-RAS?
