    Hello,
I am working on updating bathymetry for a river model and I have been encountering an issue where edge lines and interpolation lines between XS’s will intersect with one another causing a criss-cross pattern. What could be causing this issue? I’m unsure why the lines between each xs cross over versus just staying on each respective side of the bank.

I can link images to what the issue looks like if needed as well.

Ok, I fixed the issue of the weird criss-crossing, it was due to some stations being reversed. However, I now have no reach length ROB and LOB lengths. Is there a way to get these values automatically calculated?

go to RAS Mapper and for your geometry file right click on the cross-sections option in the dropdown..go to compute -> reach lengths..should work if your bank stations are defined, if not I think it just does from the ends of the XSs

if for whatever that way doesnt work, easiest is probably to export the XSs as shp files to GIS and get the bank/end coordinates and just do a resultant calculation in excel or something

Ok, that worked for the reach lengths!

    Thank you so much!

Take a look to RAS Geometry Maker https://www.m3eweb.it/products/ it works also for LOB and ROB
