I am working on a 2-d model with the 2-d surface connected to the channel by a lateral weir spanning from cross sections 7150 to 4675. There is a drastic drop in flow in cross section 5670 where the 2-d model shows the most water leaving the channel. It makes sense that there is a drop in flow but down to 151 cfs seems quite drastic especially when it returns to the range of 1600’s cfs right after. Has anyone seen something like this? Please help.

    Thanks!

Plot the hydrograph for this section and compare it to the adjacent sections. The output table is showing results for Max WS which won’t neccissarily occur at Max Q. There may be some stablitity issue and you had a spike occur at this section which is why max ws occured at a low flow.

Thanks. I interpolated a cross section just downstream of the problem cross section at it seems to have taken care of the problem.
