Does HecRas use previous run files when doing an unsteady run?

We are finding that a particular geometry, flow and plan combination will run fine in the original project.

However, when we set up a new project, import in the geometry and flow and set up the plan identically, it will crash at the start of the run (channels appearing to dry out).

In the original project, does the unsteady run somehow access previous run files which are affecting the initial calculations? Which files are these?

Not unless you specify it to use a previous run. Did you set up the initial conditions in the flow editor the same?

Yes, the initial conditions and run parameters are identical. Is there an option somewhere that specifies automatically to use previous run files if available?
