Creating Hec-RAS XS from DTM without ARC View

Hi All,

I have been using the Hec-georas extension for some time now but my access to it will come to an end soon.

I was hoping someone knew of any other convenient apps or add on’s that can do something similar with regards to extracting cross section data from DTM?

Maybe I have missed something but I cant see a way to draw and extract cross sections in the Ras-Mapper?

Just saw the “Cut from Terrain” button in the cross section editor.

I imagine that will do it.

QGIS has a free add on to help generate HEC-RAS models. In HEC-RAS, you would have to manually add the cross-sections you like and then adjust the coordinates manually as well which is a pain for many cross-sections.

Yes I have used that one. There was another one, but have not used them in awhile since I use ArcGIS.
