Hello,
I am running a 2D floodplain model which encompasses quite a bit of area. I have approximately 540k cells with two influent boundary conditions both represented by hydrographs spanning 27 hours. After the graphs peak they at around 420 CFS they taper off until they are less than 1 CFS for approximately 4 hours. The model runs fine up until these last few hours. It then shows a ton of convergence errors with error values ranging from 2 to 8. I am new to 2d modelling, how can I prevent this? I have changed the time step, cell size, etc and nothing seems to work. Flow reaches the end of my 2D boundary, could this be the problem? Should I create an outflow boundary condition to keep flow moving?
Thanks for any help!
