connect the rivers

Hi everyone,
ı am a new beginner user for Hecras. my question is about connecting the rivers.
ı drew 2 rivers and ı have to connect them. do ı have to connect them with a junction? can ı connect them without a junction?

also for these rivers the model wants to enter data for upstream point and downstream point. do ı have to do again? can ı enter data for only one of them ? thank you everyone

You need to model them with a junction.
