Hi everybody,
I’m performing an unsteady flow calculation about the motion of a dambreak wave in a channel.
The channel is very short, just 4 meters long and at the end of it there’s reflection condition (closed section).
I’ve ran the simulation with the smallest time (1minute) I can choose from the “hydrograph output interval” option, but it was too long to get the wave dynamic. So as it written in the manual I have marked the “computational level output” label, that it refers to a computational time of 1sec.
After the simulation is ran by selecting the “unsteady flow spatial plot” or the “unsteady flow time series plot” options from the view menu of the main hec window, I should get all the data I need, but these two options remain gray-out. In the manual I didn’t find any explanation about it.
What problem could be and how can I solve it?thanks in advance
January 27, 2015 at 7:59 pm #9084AnonymousGuestPerhaps the ouput is not turned on for the sections of interest. This is done at the Unsteady Flow Analysis window – Stage and Flow Output Location. I think that the default here is no output and the computational level output uses this to prepare the detailed info. So, the sections for output need to be selected first.
