Is there anywhere else in HEC-RAS output besides the Computation Messages screen that tells you if a Steady Flow Simulation has converged or not?
I am running Steady Flow simulations with optimizations on in HEC-RAS 5.0.3 and as far as I can tell, the only output that tells you that your simulation has failed is on the Computation Screen (see below)
