I faced an incomprehensible situation and I do not know how to solve it. Perhaps the solution is very simple, but due to the fact that I do not know English and use a google translator, studying the HEC-RAS help documentation is extremely difficult for me. I hope for your understanding and help.
I calculate the trapezoidal section channel using the techniques described in the books on hydraulics. All calculations are correct and have been repeatedly verified by me and other people. I create a model of this channel in HEC-RAS, and get completely different results.
I hope the legend of all hydraulic parameters is the same in the world.
After modeling in the program, the same results were obtained only for the last cross section, and throughout the entire channel, the water surface is higher than calculated according to the book.
Steady and unsteady flow simulations give identical results.

Due to such inaccuracies in the calculation results, I cannot use the HEC-RAS model as a justification for the construction of the canal.
