When anyone posts a long thread with images and you keep having to click on “view more” then scroll left and right its impossible to read and view images within one window. Its extremely annoying. Just a peeve
August 23, 2018 at 7:41 pm #11573Chris G.KeymasterHi Luis-
Thanks for the feedback. I’m going to look into this, but to be honest, I have very little control over the look of this forum. I’ll see if there’s anything I can do about it. Can you point me to a specific post that demonstrates this issue?
Thanks-
ChrisAugust 23, 2018 at 7:47 pm #11575Chris G.KeymasterThis may help a little, but if you right click on an image, you get an option to open the image in a new tab (at least this feature is available for Google Chrome). Then you’ll be able to see the entire image on one page. I know this isn’t the ultimate fix, but perhaps it makes things a little less annoying. Thanks again for your suggestion. I’ll keep exploring fixes…
August 23, 2018 at 9:23 pm #11576AnonymousGuestAre there instructions somewhere for how to post an image? I spent a little bit of time searching and didn’t find anything.
August 24, 2018 at 12:06 am #11574AnonymousGuestThis one works as an example chris. For example i want to read responses and i have to click “view more” at the bottom to see a full post rather than in the past which we would just scroll. This becomes cumbersome when someone posts images of their hydraulic model and the user has to click “view more” 5 times to look at their image and then use the scroll right bar to fully view the image. The viewing system is just off and ive checked this on multiple computers.

August 24, 2018 at 12:07 am #11577AnonymousGuestThere used to be actually. i cant find it at the moment
August 24, 2018 at 4:48 pm #11579Lonnie AParticipantI agree. I had to hit “view more” like 6 times just to get to the bottom of this post. I’m using internet explorer. This is just a recent change to the forum as you use to be able to scroll to the bottom.
August 24, 2018 at 8:18 pm #11580AnonymousGuestok good so its not just me, it was a changed that randomly happened and didnt know why
September 21, 2018 at 12:08 am #11581LorenAmelangParticipantThis problem seems to appear randomly! Sometimes I have to click “More” for each screen height of new data, in a long post or even in the list of topics. And other times I can scroll to the bottom of any page. Same computer, same browser…
This is a good test page:
http://hec-ras-help.1091112.n5.nabble.com/Do-tiny-mountain-streams-make-spiky-plots-td6288.html#a6326(Sorry, I did see the recommendation to keep posts short, but it isn’t a simple issue…)
I just re-opened it from the list of my user posts, and it not only didn’t require “More”, it opened scrolled to the bottom! The system must remember each user’s last reading position in each post? But a few days ago I opened it from a saved URL and had to click “More” about 20 times to get to the bottom.
When I began reading posts today, I had to click “More” several times to get through page 1 of the topic list. After that none of the other pages showed any “More” pauses.
September 21, 2018 at 1:41 am #11582ckatsoulasParticipantI guess a temporary quick fix to this would be to put the latest post on top.
