    Hello

    I’m afraid I don’t have a good english, sorry.

I have in HEC-RAS the cross sections, but unfortunately I don’t have the lengths between cross sections. They are georeferenced, then I wonder if I can give the length automatically.

    Thanks

Digitizing flow lines in ArcGIS will allow HEC-GeoRAS to automatically calculate reach lengths for you. They will come into RAS when you import your GIS import file. If you don’t have access to GeoRAS, then I’m afraid you have to enter in the reach lengths manually.

    Good luck.

    Thank you for your answer.

Then I have to enter the reach lenghts manually, because I don’t work with ArcGIS in this project.

Create a dummy cross section manually at any station. You do not have to populate the values just make it. Then immediately delete it. The program will ask if you want to update reach lengths.

    Thank jadams for your message

I think, that works when you have already reach lengths, but I don’t have any reach lengths.
