Bridge openings

Hi Chris,

I have a bridge like below. RAS failed and complained that

the road/weir is lower than the bottom of the bridge opening.
The program cannot solve for a [single opening] bridge answer that
does not have flow in the bridge opening. Try modeling
the opening as a multiple opening with a bridge and a conveyance area.
Error Accepting the preprocessor files.

What should I do? Thank you.

Does the “Min Weir Flow El:” in the Deck/roadway Data Editor have anything in it? I normally leave this blank and let HEC RAS use the default.

I just had this happen as well on a Floodway model. I found that the left and right encroachment stations were both inadvertently set to the left of the bridge. This kept the bridge from receiving any water. When I fixed my encroachments the model worked.
