    Hi,

I am solving an unsteady flow by method: Directly connenting Upstream River Reach to a Downstream 2D Flow area.

When I triggered a cumputation, so the computation is wroten erros.

I was checking a model and I found one interesting. In the window [unsteady flow data], I can’t enter downstream boundary conditions for the rivet, is this normal?

I am searching in the manual [combined …, october 2014], but I can’t find nothing to boundary conditions river. There are boundary conditions flow areas.

    Can you advice me?

    thank you
    Greetings!

If you have a 1D reach connected on the downstream end to a 2D area, then I don’t think there should be a downstream boundary condition for that reach (because the downstream boundary condition is the connection to the storage area/2D area).

Under Options, you can delete that boundary condition from the Flow Data editor.

The data set appears to go unstable for the first time step. Make sure that the 2D area has a long enough Initial Conditions Ramp Up Time and that there are enough warm up time steps. From the Run editor, Options, Computation Options and Tolerances.
