I am trying to model the downstream bank erosion after armoring a bank with boulders using unsteady flow. I have changed my bank material from erodible silt to boulders in BSTEM for the armored portions, but see no difference in the downstream cross section when compared to my initial model.
I want to also model downstream bank erosion after armoring with rip rap or even sheet pile.
First question, why am i not seeing a difference downstream when changing to boulders?
Secound question, is there a way to see a difference by incorporating a lateral structure?
