Bank Layer in RAS mapper and Input different flow discharge values along a reach in 2D model.

I am seeking assistance about the following questions:

– Is are Bank Layers in RAS mapper are necessary even in tributary that are not simulated but will likely receive some back water.
– How to input different flow discharge values at different location along a reach in 2D model.

You cannot have edit flow inside of a 2D model currently. Bank layers are something that HEC-RAS generates based on your bank station in a 1D model. If you are not modeling the tributary in 1D, there is no reason to have this layer. If you are referring to flowpath lines, than you would only need them if you had a 1D model as the flowpath lines determine the reach lengths.
