Back to the basic (Measurement system)

As an international user, I know that I have to set the window’s international settings to English (United state). In the windows control panel –> Clock, Language and Region dialog box—> Additional settings, is possible to select Metric or US for the Measurement system.

Does this option has any effects to Hec-Ras computation?
Or inside Hec-Ras is just critical to choose the right measurement system (SI or US)?

I don’t think the measurement system inside of Windows matters, just use whichever is appropriate inside of RAS.

In addition to choosing English, avoid using any non English characters such as letters with accent marks.

The only input that is always metric is D50 for scour. It is always to be input as mm. The rest can be controlled by the units within the software
