1D/2D Model Error

Hello,
My 1D/2D model simulation ends with “The maximum xsec wsel error was 162.521”. Any advice how to reduce this? I use diffusion wave option. for the structures I used normal 2D equation method.the weir coefficient I used was 0.28 (SI units). I have incorporated 4 numbers of lateral structures to the model.further, I noticed once water moves to the 2D it build up in cells and not flow to the adjacent cells in the grid (no elevation restriction to flow into the adjacent cells). I have attached the screen shot of Image. Any advise? Thanks.

your model is going unstable. This could be due to a lot of things. What is your time step? Did you turn on the 1D/2D iteration option? What happens if you switch to the full momentum solver?

I doubled the cross section length, then I could able to simulate it. But for the full momentum it become unstable in the halfway.
