1D/2D Downstream WSE

Hi

I’m running a 1D/2D model and am a little confused why my water surface elevation drops so suddenly after my 1D/2D connections end. The WSE remains steady throughout the channel while it flows through two 2D areas. however, once those 2D areas are removed/end as the stream moves downstream, the WSE seems to drop 4ft without reason except those cross sections aren’t tied to a 2D area.

My boundary condition right now for the last cross section is normal depth 0.001. I’m not really sure how to make this transition look less crazy.
