Hi.
I just got started on Hec-ras. It seems great. I managed to import some bathyrmetric data from a CSV file and everything looked fine.
I set up some conservative steady flow parameters. (downstream = Normal depth 0.02, upstream known w.s 86m) and a flow change location of 0.1 m3/s in upstream and downstream RS.The model ran in first go but the results are baffling me. It seems that the model –
1) can’t get rid of the water
2) water is flowing the wrong wayAny suggestions or anyone that experienced the same thing?
I have unfortunately ruined my data tryin to fix it, but will hopefully have time to recreate the whole thing tomorrow.

I tried via Gis tools, but it didn’t seem to have any effect.EDIT:
I made it work. I tried reversing the reach itself, without any effect. But, in RAS-mapper I selected all of the cross-sections (imported from MIKE Hydro), and flipped them.
Now the model works well with steady flow.
