1d-2d modeling of 4-channel 90 deg (a cross) lab channel

Hello,

I would like to simulate a supercritical flow in 4 channels meeting at right-angle at the centre, forming a junction. Two channels bring flow toward the junction where the flow divides and leaves through the two downstream channels. Can I model such flow by having the channels simulated as river reaches and the central part(junction) as 2D flow area?

Yes, I would think so. RAS 2D flow actually handles supercritical flow better than RAS 1D. If your model is not too big, you might do it all in 2D.
