Steve is a Staff Scientist and joined the Kleinschmidt team in early 2023, working out of the Connecticut office. He began his career working for a number of state agencies across New England, focusing on fisheries management and water quality.

Steve has expertise in culvert surveys, creel surveys, various types of electrofishing, fyke nets, pit tagging and acoustic telemetry, biological sample collection and processing, fish passage, video monitoring, water quality, and flow measurements. These various studies have been done across freshwater, brackish and marine environments. Steve also has a strong background in GIS using ArcMap, and MS Office programs.

He is a member of the Southern New England Chapter of the American Fisheries Society and graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Keene State College.
